On March 27, Chief Secretary of Sindh Province Mr Syed Asif Hyder Shah, Home Secretary Mr Muhammad Iqbal Memon, and Inspector General of Police Sindh Mr Ghulam Nabi Memon visited Chinese Consulate General in Karachi to convey condolences for the victims in the terrorist attack on the Dasu Hydropower Project.

CG Yang expressed appreciation to Mr Syed Asif Hyder Shah and his delegation and said that China opposes all forms of terrorism and no attempt to sabotage China-Pakistan friendship and cooperation will ever succeed. China firmly supports Pakistan in economic construction and fighting against terrorism, and hope that Sindh government will take all measures to implement the enhanced security work plan and protect the safety and security of Chinese personnel.

Mr Syed Asif Hyder Shah said that the heavy casualties of the Chinese national caused by the terrorist attack are shocking and heart-wrenching. On behalf of the Sindh government, he extend deep condolences for the victims and sincere sympathy to the bereaved families. The Pakistani side strongly condemns the despicable acts of terrorist organizations, and Sindh government will coordinate all security resources to ensure the safety and security of Chinese citizens, projects and institutions and ensure smooth progress of bilateral cooperation in all fields.
