Consul General H.E.Yang Yundong paid a courtesy call on the new Chief Secretary of Sindh Province Mr Syed Asif Hyder Shah on March 25, 2024. 

CG Yang congratulated Mr Syed Asif Hyder Shah on his assumption of office, saying that China attaches great importance to the iron-clad friendship between China and Pakistan. China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has achieved fruitful cooperation in the past ten years. At the moment, China-Pakistan relations is facing new opportunities for development, China is willing to work with the Sindh government to deepen practical cooperation in industry, science and technology, culture and people-to-people exchanges and push CPEC to a new stage of high-quality development.

Mr Syed Asif Hyder Shah spoke highly of the strong ties between Pakistan and China, and the great role that the construction of CPEC has played in promoting the economic and social development of Pakistan. The Chief Secretary said that Sindh government hopes to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with China. All measures will be taken to ensure the safety and security of Chinese personnel, projects and institutions.
