Consulate General of China in Karachi hosted the International Women's Day reception On March 6, 2024, women representatives from Sindh and Balochistan province and female Chinese overseas attended.

Consul General H.E. Yang Yundong extended holiday greetings to female friends and introduced the positive achievements of Chinese women's career in the new era through detailed data and vivid examples, spoke highly of the Chinese and Pakistani women's spirit of tenacity and unrelenting efforts in all professions. He also expressed the willingness to deepen exchanges and cooperation in women area with Pakistani side, and to jointly promote the development of women's career and enrich China-Pakistan relations.

Former Federal Minister for Law, Justice and Human Rights and Parliamentary Affairs of Pakistan, H.E. Ms Shahida Jamil and other female representatives thanked the Consulate General for hosting the International Women's Day reception. They praised the event as a full reflection of the great importance to women's career in China and stressed that strengthening exchanges and mutual learning is conducive to bringing the two peoples closer.
